This reversable bucket hat (or Safari hat, your choice) is fun and easy to sew for anyone sewist.
When I saw the indian block-print cottons, and the bucket hat sewing pattern (oh and the bubble pants 🤭) I knew a fun matching breezy outfit was in my future; and boy did it turn out better than my imagination!!
This sewing pattern is ideal for confident beginners, who are looking for their first challenge with patterns that push away from just simple sewing. This pattern features parallel topstitching along the hats brim, and finishing with a bias binding trim. Every step is fully illustrated, and a YouTube sew-along video is included to guide you through; I wouldn't recommend it, if I didn't believe you could!

Not included
Sadly, you will need to provide your own sewing machine... and your sewing tools to help you make this fun, easy pattern.
Kit Notes:
N1. I've personally made the bucket hat from this sewing pattern with the MEDIUM interfacing; which is recommended for this pattern - a midweight interfacing - however I find the medium interfacing a little lighter and softer than it sounds. It makes it perfect for the bucket hat view, to keep the rim soft and light; however for the Safari hat, the rim would fall more soft and not hold it's structure as well.
This is why I am providing the option to choose Medium or Firm interfacing, so that you can choose depending on the type of structure you had in my mind for your hat.
SAFARI would look best in FIRM interfacing, and BUCKET would look best in the MEDIUM interfacing.
N2. We have not included eyelets/snaps inside this kit, although the sewing pattern does mention them as an optional project choice. Due to requiring hardware tools to add eyelets/snaps, we've decided to keep them out of this kit, so that it's suitable for everyone. The finished bucket hat shown in images, is without the eyelets and snaps, and still is light, breathable and a great hat for the summer without the holes.
N3. First image shows Indigo Abstract Cotton in the bucket hat, this is for illustrational purposes only. The fabric within the kit to make this sewing pattern is noted in Image 2, within our product description and product title. On purchase, you are confirming that you have acknowledged and read this, and understand the fabric that will be included inside the kit.
