    Indian Block Printed Cotton Fabric in Floral Wine

    This Indian printed cotton fabric features delicate floral motifs in rich wine tones, traditionally hand block printed onto a soft natural cotton base. The deep, earthy colour palette gives its warmth while keeping that charmful print that these fabrics are loved for.

    This is a lightweight fabric, breathable and easy to sew. It's perfect for dressmaking or any home crafts but can see this fabric looking good in blouses, dresses or even a lovely relaxed pair of trousers. The floral design feels perfect for handmade pieces with character. 

    Being block printed fabric, subtle variations in the print celebrate the traditional methods of printing. You may see differences or "flaws" but these are just unique quirks to the artisan work behind every metre.

    As always with naturally dyed fabrics, we recommend washing this fabric with a handful of salt on the first few washes to help fix the dyes and prevent them running. It is also best to keep your regular laundry separate for those first few, until you feel confident that the colours won't run.  It's perfectly normal to loose a little colour with naturally dyed fabrics.
