Cream Florals on a Indigo Cotton Fabric

This block print fabric features a floral and paisley-inspired design in soft cream. It is traditionally block printed onto a rich indigo cotton base, creating a timeless pattern that feels both elegant and full of character.

It's a lightweight cotton fabric at 80gsm, making it breathable and comfortable to wear - especially in the hot summer sun! Perfect for dressmaking and would make some beautiful delicate blouses, shirts, dresses or even relaxed breezy trousers. 

It doesn't have to be solely destined for dressmaking, it can also be used in quilting, embellishing or home sewing projects where you can showcase the beauty of the traditional block print fabric.

Being block printed fabric, subtle variations in the print celebrate the traditional methods of printing. You may see differences or "flaws" but these are just unique quirks to the artisan work behind every metre.

As always with naturally dyed fabrics, we recommend washing this fabric with a handful of salt on the first few washes to help fix the dyes and prevent them running. It is also best to keep your regular laundry separate for those first few, until you feel confident that the colours won't run.  It's perfectly normal for the surface pigment to slowly fade over time with each wash, it's part of it's unique charm of being dyed naturally.
