    Organic Cotton in this Rose Cottage Garden

    Merchant & Mills have delivered yet another beautiful fabric collection of Indian block prints. This fabric is a lightweight delicate fabric that would look stunning in a summery dress or a tiered skirt. Each piece is hand-printed and dyed, so slight irregularities in the weave or print may occur—these are part of the fabric’s charm, not flaws.

    From the town Sanganer in India, this fabric has been hand-blocked with their fine detail and rich colours, this traditional technique gives each piece a unique, artisan quality. As always being a Merchant & Mills fabric it comes with a certified organic cotton composition.

    As always with naturally dyed fabrics, we recommend washing this fabric with a handful of salt on the first few washes to help fix the dyes and prevent them running. It is also best to keep your regular laundry separate for those first few, until you feel confident that the colours won't run.  It's perfectly normal to loose a little colour with naturally dyed fabrics.
