Sew Eco Score 1 - Used Only for Deadstock or Reclaimed Fabrics

Our lowest score, reserved for rare cases of deadstock or reclaimed fabrics that still meet our minimum stocking criteria.

What's missing is transparency. These fabrics lack eco-certifications and we can't verify how they were grown, dyed, or manufactured, which is why they receive our lowest sustainability rating. Read our blog post on "What Makes Fabrics Sustainable?" to learn more. 

So why stock them? Because giving these fabrics a second life is better than waste. Whether from mills with leftover rolls or rescued from closed fabric shops, they still have value—and we'd rather see them sewn than landfilled.

Sometimes the most sustainable choice is saving what already exists.
